Accounting Manager

The Accounting Manager will be responsible for leading, managing and holding a team of Accountants and Accounting Specialists accountable for accurate entry of accounting transactions performed in a timely manner with efficient and scalable processes.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions):

  • Lead and manage three direct reports and their activities; provide leadership, empowerment, guidance, and opportunities for their personal career development
  • Ensure accuracy and efficiency in the day-to-day transactions posting to the financials with proper controls in the areas including AP, AR, expense reports, purchasing, and accounting services for clients
  • Ensures transactions are recorded, documented, reviewed, approved, and supported in accordance with company policies and controls
  • Analyze company revenue and cost of goods to ensure accuracy of all posting transactions within Gross Profit
  • Ensure complete and thorough documentation of all departmental policies, procedures, and processes
  • Implement continuous improvement to the processes related to all areas of accountability, and challenge current processes and practices to drive greater accuracy and efficiency
  • Develop and maintain appropriate financial controls in the processing of financial transactions to minimize risk
  • Work cross functionally to develop, maintain, and improve company processes overall
  • Design and implement effective accounting policies procedures and controls in compliance with GAAP and are “SOX-like quality”
  • Evaluate the accounting or financial reporting impact of operational decisions and report accordingly to Controller
  • Assist with the execution of quarterly business reviews and year-end financial audits
  • Ad-hoc projects as necessary

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
  • CPA or CMA certification a plus
  • 3-5 years minimum experience in Accounting
  • Minimum 1-2 years of Accounting Management experience
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
  • Experience in NetSuite a plus
  • Ability to succeed in fast-paced, high-growth, dynamic workplace
  • Strong problem solving with ability to develop/implement solutions
  • Strong aptitude for analysis
  • Strong technology knowledge and application 
  • Experience in EOS a plus
