Sales Support Specialist

The Sales Support Specialist is responsible for assisting the Sales Team in a variety of sales activities which will help grow the company’s book of business. Additionally, the Sales Support Specialist will identify potential customers and determine customer requirements for products and services. The position requires a thorough understanding of BevSource’s sales and marketing strategies.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions):

  • Acts as liaison between the Sales Team and prospective domestic and international clients by communicating throughout the sales process: answering questions and directing them to appropriate contacts
  • Follow-up with calls to prospective clients to provide additional product/services information
  • Provide Inside Sales support to Sales Representatives
  • Work with internal departments and client to process orders as it relates to Consolidated Procurement
  • Answer phones and route them to the appropriate BevSource personnel
  • Create detailed contracts and proposal documents
  • Oversee, manage and communicate updates to customers on behalf of the Sales Representative
  • Support Sales Team throughout the sales process including, document preparation, quoting and sales confirmation
  • Manage communications; tracking action items and key issues
  • Customer Service Skills are critical. Commit to providing prompt and superior customer service to existing client accounts as well as new business opportunities
  • Manage new customer information, background and summary
  • Distribute new customer projects to internal teams for assignment
  • Work with internal departments to streamline onboarding of new clients
  • Create reports and manage data in NetSuite and CRM
  • Help sales representatives analyze the data, create a report, and prepare the documentation, charts, and other tools necessary to effectively convey the message of the report
  • Generate sales presentations
  • Within the guidelines established by Sales Leadership, drive efficient use of NetSuite and train Sales team on best practices for managing information within NetSuite
  • Mindset of continuous improvement to help drive changes in processes
  • Vet incoming sales leads and distribute/assign to appropriate sales team members
  • Provide initial customer contact in the absence of a Sales Representative
  • Generate KPI reports, reports for EOS, and develop other key metrics as determined by Sales Leadership
  • As a sales team member, take a proactive approach by offering recommendations as to proper KPI’s or ways to improve metrics that are being reported upon
  • Provide administrative support to Sales Team including but not limited to: coordinating and scheduling meetings, organizing team events, booking rooms, coordinating schedules, and facilitating tradeshow activities
  • Monitor status of customers projects and create a reporting process that provides the Sales Team with this information
  • Research and report on industry trends and related products

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Microsoft office skills
  • Must have exceptional system knowledge – specifically ERP/CRM knowledge
  • 3 to 5 years minimum of sales support experience
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong problem solving, attention to detail, and multi-tasking abilities
  • Team player with an upbeat, professional attitude
