Senior Staff Accountant

The Senior Staff Accountant will be responsible for providing accurate and timely financial information, following GAAP standards for internal and external reporting purposes, as well as performing in depth account reconciliations.

A DAY IN THE LIFE: 

  • Responsible for general ledger completeness and accuracy in accordance with GAAP.
  • Weekly Brand Owner payment reconciliation and tie outs.
  • Process month end activities for multiple companies.  
  • Analyzing and posting monthly intercompany journal entries and researching discrepancies.
  • Work with operation on periodic inventory counts at our Lab
  • Prepare monthly financial statements, reports, and board deck write up’s
  • Analyze and understand variances in financial statements and document explanation for all key items.
  • Fixed asset processing and reporting.
  • Maintain bank account reconciliations.
  • Research and reconcile accounts as assigned and resolve any discrepancies.
  • Assist with maintaining and performing periodic evaluations of internal controls.
  • Calculate and report sales commissions.
  • Provide technical accounting support for the department.
  • Cash Mgmt analysis and Reporting for all companies to Controller and CFO
  • Organize yearly insurance audits
  • Landed Cost inventory maintenance
  • Bank account reconciliation and bank fee analysis
  • Payroll payments and account reconciliation, IBNR.

WHO YOU ARE:

  • You have a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent (required)
  • You have 7+ years of general accounting experience, preferably in a regularly audited company
  • You have NetSuite experience (a plus)
  • You are highly proficient in Excel
  • You are detail oriented and can work under tight deadlines
  • You are enthusiastic and can work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • You are a change agent and can drive efficient processes for highly accurate results
  • You are a proven self-starter with strong communication skills
